This is one of FLOTRON'S custom 600 series holding fixtures. The 600 series is designed to hold large but lightweight parts. In this photo, the units are holding satellite solar panels. These lightweight panels can be easily moved around on the shop floor as well as flipped over on the trunnion bearings. In this design, the trunnion shafts are affixed to the white "picture window frame" around the panel. When the part is flipped over, the shafts turn along with the picture frames and the panel. These holding fixtures also incorporate telescopic main beams for a larger length adjustment range. For the standard 600 series main page, click here. |
